Terms of Service

Last updated: March 31, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern residential dog-waste removal provided by Sota Scoopers LLC. Accepting a quote, subscribing to a plan, or receiving service means you agree to these Terms plus the detailed Residential Service Agreement on file.

This page is the master reference for all website copy, cost calculators, intake forms, and portal messaging.

1. Services

We provide recurring or one-time dog-waste removal, bagging/sealing, and proof-of-service documentation within published service zones. Premium deodorizing or lawn-care services are not included unless explicitly listed.

2. Eligibility & onboarding

You must be 18+, authorized to grant property access, and located within an active service area. Quotes require accurate address, dog count, yard description, and gate notes. Additional verification may be requested before onboarding.

3. Access & safety requirements

Provide safe entry, secure pets away from the work area, disclose hazards (aggressive animals, debris, icy conditions), and keep garbage carts or bag-drop spots available unless otherwise arranged.

4. Scheduling & service windows

Route days are assigned by geography and capacity. Exact arrival times are not guaranteed, but we share the window and update you about delays.

5. Billing & payments

Plans bill in advance each month. Prices are shown before tax. Minnesota sales tax is itemized separately. Invoices are delivered via email/portal and can be paid by ACH, card, or other processors we designate.

6. Pauses, skips, and holds

You may pause service for up to six months. Holds longer than four weeks with dogs on-site may require a First-Clean before recurring visits resume; holds longer than six months can release the route slot.

7. Weather, access issues, and make-ups

If weather, locked gates, unsafe animals, or hazards block a visit, we attempt a make-up within seven days (capacity permitting) and try twice. If we miss a visit for reasons within our control, we credit that visit.

8. Waste handling

Default service double-bags and places waste in your designated garbage cart. Organics carts and neighbor bins are never used, per municipal guidance.

9. Haul-away add-on

If you prefer nothing left onsite, select the haul-away add-on during the quote flow. It adds $18 per visit for the first dog, +$3 per visit for a second dog, and +$5 per visit for 3+ dogs (≈+$72–$92/mo on weekly plans, +$36–$46/mo on bi-weekly) or $35–$40 on one-time resets, covering transport, disposal, and compliance overhead. Availability may vary by route until the licensing footprint expands.

10. Cancellations & refunds

Cancel upcoming renewals any time via the portal or by contacting us. Canceling stops future charges but does not automatically refund completed or in-progress billing cycles unless required by law.

11. Customer responsibilities

Maintain safe walking surfaces, disclose sprinklers or trip hazards, keep aggressive pets indoors or restrained, and notify us about changes in pet count, yard condition, or ownership.

12. Proof of service & communication

We log every visit, including optional photos if enabled. We may text/email/call about service status, haul-away logistics, make-good scheduling, policy updates, or account needs. We only reuse proof-of-service photos or videos for marketing if you explicitly authorize it.

13. Service limitations

Effectiveness depends on accurate information and reasonable yard conditions. We do not guarantee removal of waste hidden under snow/ice, in tall grass, or outside the defined service area. We are not liable for damages resulting from pre-existing hazards or instructions that violate safety protocols.

14. Claims & dispute process

Report property damage or service concerns within 48 hours (phone, SMS, or email) with supporting details. We investigate and respond within five business days.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate service for repeated non-payment, safety violations, harassment, or misuse of staff. You remain responsible for amounts owed up to the termination date.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be handled in Minnesota state or federal courts unless both parties agree otherwise.
